Deviation

Last updated: July 20, 2023
A written authorization, granted before the manufacture of a physical item, to depart from a particular performance or design requirement of a specification, drawing or other document, for a specific number of units or a specified period of time.
A deviation event is further characterized by the following:
  • It is directly associated with a serialized item.
  • It has a specified effectivity.
  • A deviation does not warrant change to a baseline.

A deviation record is maintained by AssetWise as part of the item's build history.
